About This Place

Located in the charming city of San Dimas, Twisted Sage Cafe & Catering is a standout New American restaurant that masterfully blends comfort with creativity in every dish. Specializing in breakfast, takeout, salads, sandwiches, and hearty soups, Twisted Sage offers an inviting dining atmosphere where guests can enjoy inventive flavors and impeccable service that keeps patrons returning time and again.

Step inside or settle into the cozy outdoor patio—an especially popular option for those bringing along their furry friends—and you’ll be greeted by a welcoming staff whose efficiency and warmth set the tone for a memorable meal. As Frank Sanchez observed, the front staff smoothly orchestrates the flow of the cafe, making waits feel effortless and the overall experience seamless.

The menu at Twisted Sage reads like a love letter to comfort food elevated with gourmet flair. Breakfast lovers will find decadent options such as The Pulled Pork Benedict, a blissful marriage of tender, savory pulled pork atop perfectly poached eggs and rich hollandaise, or the indulgent Candied Maple Bacon Bread Pudding, a luscious treat where sweet and smoky notes dance on the palate. Don’t miss the famed Biscuits and Gravy—flaky, buttery biscuits smothered in velvety sausage gravy—or the Jalapeno Cream Cheese Burger, which delivers a satisfying kick balanced by creamy richness.

Vegetarian and health-conscious diners are equally cared for with vibrant options like the VEGGIE omelette, bursting with sautéed arugula, tomatoes, and jalapeños, crowned with tangy goat cheese. The variety of wraps, such as the Apricot Turkey—with tender turkey breast, mixed greens, and a delicate apricot gastrique—offer fresh, layered flavors wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Those craving a heartier meal rave about the Grilled Steak wrap, seasoned to perfection and served medium rare, sure to satisfy any carnivore’s appetite.

Side dishes at Twisted Sage are no afterthought. Their twisted potatoes, often hailed as "freaking amazing" by loyal guests like Meri Meri Quite Contrary, bring a delightful blend of smoky, crispy textures and buttery richness that perfectly complement any entree. Favorites also include the classic mac ‘n’ cheese oozing with creamy comfort, and the daily soup specials such as the deeply savory French Onion Soup.

Pair your meal with a handcrafted cappuccino or a caramel latte that warmed the hearts of those who visited on chilly mornings, as Veronica Soto-Munoz fondly recalls. Whether you’re craving a light, crisp Mahi-Mahi Salad or a decadent Bacon Waffle breakfast that melds savory and sweet, Twisted Sage assures an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique.

Twisted Sage Cafe & Catering not only satisfies cravings but does so with attentive service that anticipates your needs. Emma appreciated how attentive and thoughtful the staff was, making sure drinks were always topped up and the dining experience smooth despite the busy crowd. The friendly vibe extends to accommodating large parties and providing ample parking, ensuring convenience matches quality.

For those who appreciate a convivial atmosphere where you can enjoy a flight of mimosas or beer alongside expertly crafted dishes, Twisted Sage delivers a casual yet polished dining outing. Jerry L. Baker sums it up well—the wait may test your patience during busy periods, but it’s undoubtedly worth it for fantastic food, a welcoming environment, and a place that truly feels like a local gem in the heart of San Dimas.

The woman at the front runs this place effortlessly and efficiently, which was a pleasure to watch as we waited to be seated.

I've been to Twisted Sage a couple of times before. This was my first time getting breakfast. I ordered the croissant sandwich with bacon. The croissant was flakey and buttery, and the bacon was thick and cooked well. The egg was cooked well but needed a little salt. The twisted potatoes were freaking amazing. I would go just for that sidedish alone! I also ordered a caramel latte, which was super delicious! I will definitely be back to try some of the sweet breakfasts.

This delightful place is located in San Dimas, California. The service was great! Our server was very attentive and quick. It's like he read our minds. Our glasses were always filled, and the food was so tasty. I ordered the steak wrap, which I highly recommend. Although there was a line outside, we really didn't wait long to be seated. Plenty of parking, and they accommodate large parties. It's definitely a keeper. Very reasonably priced. If you decide to go, please go early; they close around 2 pm.

A very popular place, I believe because they have outdoor where you can bring your puppy. So expect a little wait. Well worth the wait because the food was fantastic. Plenty of choices, with dessert, mimosas flights, and beer flights. Plenty of parking available as well

My sisters and I went for breakfast on a rainy morning, we were seated at the patio because to our surprise the place was busy! The service was great, our waitress was very attentive and super nice. The food was delicious and the warm coffee and lattes really hit the spot due to the cold weather.

Nice spot my wife and I just discovered. I took her here for a little birthday luncheon and we loved all the different things we ordered. The server was really helpful, chill, and friendly. He helped us with some personal recommendations and ideas on what to choose between. Each entrée was tasty, fresh, and unique in some way. I recommend this location because they serve a variety of options!

Twisted Aage Café (est 2011) is a nice and popular breakfast/brunch cafe spot in San Dimas. They offer a breadth of food and drink items as well as exceptional service. If you're searching for a reasonably priced place with good-quality food, you'll love it here. Even the portion size is bigger, so you do not have to worry about ordering another dish. I arrived on cloudless blue sky Saturday morning to grab brunch. I was put on a wait list and got seated in <5 minutes at the bar (per my request). I was warmly greeted by Taylor, service staff, and got a Mediterranean omelet x coffee, OJ and water. Their Food was good as well as their coffee and juice. Service was spot on. Female Staff were cordial and professional. Interior has a nice rustic persona with a relaxing atmosphere. They have outdoor patio available as well. Prices were fair. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Overall, I enjoyed their modest breakfast food and service. I recommend this spot if you’re in the area.
